"They undoubtedly have great potential, purely based on the band lineup. In addition to [Grammy-nominated guitarist] Kevin, who was a founding member of national act Smalltown Poets, they’ve got Henry Curl of Jonah belting out the vocals, along with Benjy Rickard and Peter Swenson, both formerly of Boy Eats Drum Machine." - Pet Marmoset
Yes, Kevin really was nominated for Grammy, and I'm in a band with him.
That band (Hello Morning) will be working hard and playing hard tonight at the Ash St. Saloon in beautiful downtown Portland tonight. If you live in LA or Santa Monica, be sure to fly up for this one.
If you live in Seattle, you should really consider flying to LA, then catching a ride with one of my friends down there who's coming up for this show.
We may not be up for any Grammys this year, but if we play our cards right, maybe a Portland Music Award is in doable?
Also, there will be a free show next month at the Doug Fir that will be an extravaganza of new sights and sounds for us, but if you want to catch us before we hit the big time, come on out tonight. It'll be fun.
We play tonight at 9:30 and it's only $6.
By the way, Hello Morning is also on Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, Reverb Nation, and Myspace, so you really can't miss us if you have internet.
